Lean Startup & Business Marketing Bootcamp

Actualizing and Marketing Products for Profit

Have an IDEA for an app, a product, or a service you'd like to turn into a profitable venture?

Are you developing an offering with no clue how to sell it?

Does your digital marketing get more clicks than sign-ups or sales?

More than 500,000 startups launch annually in the U.S. Over 90% fail in the first 5 yrs. The <10% that survive, and thrive into sustainable companies know that business success begins with effective Marketing.

IPP's Lean Startup and Business Marketing (LSBM) course was originally developed for UC Berkeley, and has been taught on campus and online at Cal and Stanford University. This comprehensive 15-week, 30-hour bootcamp is Marketing PRACTICE—total immersion into today's digital marketing methods, and timeless marketing strategies to build, brand, and grow your business. Budding and seasoned entrepreneurs are introduced to a proprietary, 3-step marketing 'template' to actualize ideas into valuable offerings, then learn to effectively market them, for profit. Attendees will learn the three stages of marketing a business to thrive, from developing a unique product, service, or [nonprofit] message of value, to creating campaigns that brand the business and sell their offering/s.

Upon completion, attendees will have the knowledge to:

  • Implement the Productization process [with each offering] to first validate 'product/market fit' with lists of SEO content, then find markets and distinct users to target with every campaign.

  • Perform Competitive Analysis [with each offering], and identify your offering's unique differentiators.

  • Project Horizontal and Vertical offerings; define a Profit Model; and write an Elevator Pitch for each offering and your venture.

  • Develop Branding—produce product and company names, logo identities and social media icons, taglines, and multimedia brand standards.

  • Create effective digital content marketing for UIs; UXs, SMM, even print utilizing professional graphic design techniques to create attention-grabbing campaigns.

  • Understand basic online operations: URLs, webhosting, CMS, and data analytics, including digital and print reproduction.

  • Obtain visual content with impact at low to no cost, and establish a branded image library to utilize in your digital and print campaigns.

  • Produce effective marketing content—websites, landing pages, social media marketing, emails, online and print advertising, PR, and collateral.

  • Create a Pitch Deck for VC or crowd funding, and explore resources for raising capital.

In 15 weeks, 30 total hours, bootcamp attendees will have learned the complete process of marketing potential and developed offerings (better late than never!) into profitable ventures. This bootcamp provides a plug-n-play marketing template to actualize products and services into valuable, marketable offerings, and effectively sell them through effective marketing PRACTICE for sustained business growth.
